Copper Mould Tubes are the most essential part of a Continuous Casting Machine. These help in solidifying Liquid Metal in Continuous Casting Machine for producing Steel Billets. Copper Moulds are situated in the heart of Continuous Casting Machine. Mould requires extreme high thermal-conductivity and high strength. The molten steel will be formed into a certain shaped steel billets immediately after it passes through the Copper Tube. Molten metal is tapped into the ladle from furnaces. From the ladle, the hot metal is transferred via a refractory shroud (pipe) to a holding bath called a tundish. Metal is drained from the tundish through another shroud into the top of an open-base Copper Mould. Thus Quality for Copper Moulds is of prime importance. Also Known as Copper Mold Tube, Cu Pipe Mould, Caster Tubular Mould, Crystallizer Tube Mold and Cu Mold Tube, and Concast Copper Tube.
The key parameter of the copper mould tube assembly is the adjustment of the water seam. Whether the water seam is uniform on both sides directly affects the quality of the slab and the service life of the copper mould tube. When the water seams on both sides are uneven, the molten steel is easily prone to quality accidents such as deformation, corner cracks, etc. due to uneven heating. In severe cases, single-stream production accidents such as steel leakage occur, which seriously restricts production and affects the quality of the slab and the service life of the mold copper tube.
Copper mould tube ranges from smallest 50 squares to largest round one diameter 1500mm.
