Depending on the carbon content and strength, carbon steel sheets have different grades.
There are low, medium and high carbon steel plates. The higher the carbon content, the more durable and stronger the plate will be. There are further sub-categories depending on thickness and application as well as the formation process. Typically carbon steel plates are available in thicknesses from 0.4 mm to 80 mm, widths from 1000 mm to 45000 mm and lengths up to 18 meters. 5. ASTM A573 - A carbon manganese silicon structural steel plate.
6. ASTM A572 - ASTM A572 plate mechanical strength is higher than A36. where the weight is lighter.
7. ASTM A737 - low alloy steel plate used for boilers, pressure vessels.
