304 contains chromium (%) 18 - 20 .304 is equivalent to China's 0Cr19Ni9 (0Cr18Ni9) stainless steel, 304 stainless steel is a general-purpose stainless steel materials, rust resistance than the 200 series of stainless steel materials to be stronger. High temperature resistance is also better than the high to 1000-1200 degrees. 304 stainless steel has excellent stainless corrosion resistance and good resistance to intergranular corrosion properties. In the experiment, it is concluded that: 304 stainless steel material concentration ≤ 65% of the boiling temperature below the nitric acid, has a strong resistance to corrosion. To alkali solutions and most organic and inorganic acids also have good corrosion resistance.

Does 304 steel contain nickel?

Grade 304 stainless steel is generally regarded as the most common austenitic stainless steel. It contains high nickel content that is typically between 8 and 10.5 percent by weight and a high amount of chromium at approximately 18 to 20 percent by weight.
