Stainless steel 202 plate is made of stainless steel containing chromium, nickel and manganese in its chemical composition. They have similar properties like A240 stainless steel. The 202 grade exhibits high toughness at low temperatures. AISI 202 sheet is one of the most widely used precipitation hardening grades, offering properties such as enhanced corrosion resistance and toughness. High hardness and strength are also notable characteristics of this grade. SS 202 sheet can be used in a wide range of applications including restaurant equipment, cookers, sinks, rail cars, trailers and more.
202 stainless steel will be damaged by organic juices, acids, alkalis and salt substances. Chemical corrosion can also occur in polluted air. Therefore, they must be properly maintained to avoid rust. First, the surface should be cleaned and scrubbed to remove any external factors that may cause rust. It should be noted that a UNS S20200 sheet is prone to rust in coastal areas, so it should be used in a pollution-free environment.
It should be noted that stainless steel plate 202 is not suitable for high temperature applications. However, the alloy is tough and can be used in low temperature environments.
